Bhopal: Four Central Bureaus investigation (industrial and commercial bank) officials, including two from madhya pradesh police, on suspicion of bribery TOLL. The arrest was made by a Delhi-based special team on bribery leads stemming from the ongoing probe into irregularities in nursing colleges in the state.
The development is a major setback for the investigation, its second major setback scam (named after Vyapam) will be handled by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of Madhya Pradesh.
The High Court has expressed serious concern after preliminary findings by the CBI revealed widespread irregularities at numerous nursing colleges across the state.The colleges, despite being approved, failed to meet the mandatory standards set out in 2018 School of Nursing rule.
After a preliminary inquiry, the high court directed the CBI to conduct a comprehensive probe into all 364 nursing colleges in the state. The CBI requested logistical support from the state government, which has agreed to provide revenue officials and arrange food, accommodation and transportation for the investigation teams in different districts.
