The December 27 episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured a dark match between Jey Uso and American Made leader Chad Gable in the main event. However, Zoroa and his new blood tried to ambush Jey, which led to Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman coming to his aid and fighting alongside Jey Uso. Braun Strowman then addressed the crowd in attendance. He spoke about the tough times he went through, specifically highlighting the deaths of two of his friends and faction mates, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. He then invited Brody’s son Brody Lee Jr. and Bray’s son Knash, who were in the audience, to join him in the ring.
As the sons of the two wrestling legends entered the squared circle, the entire arena was lit up with Bray’s signature fireflies, honoring Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper in a beautiful way.
At the end of an emotional night, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn announced themselves as the new bloodline to continue the legacy of Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper. They appear to be joining the ranks of his brother Bo Dallas, who represented his legacy as part of Wyatt Sicks on Monday Night RAW.
Even though Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper are no longer alive, these tributes from the WWE Superstars will forever remain in their memories. It can be said that the last SmackDown in 2024 ended with deep emotion.
