this bihar public service commission (BPSCAccording to a PTI report, ) has clarified that the 70th Comprehensive (Preliminary) Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 will not be cancelled. The exam was held on December 13. Since then, many candidates have been protesting, claiming that the test papers were leaked.
Bihar Public Service Commission Examination Controller Rajesh Kumar Singh said, “There is no doubt about the cancellation of the entire BPSC examination to be held on December 13. The BPSC’s decision to cancel the preliminary examination to be held at Bapu Pariskha Parisar Center was just because of a group of people. interference.
He further added that the committee came to know that some private coaching institutes were inciting and mobilizing them to demand cancellation of the entire examination.
Several candidates have been protesting, demanding the cancellation of the BPSC 70th CCE citing alleged document leaks. On Wednesday, December 25, some protesters broke through barricades and disrupted traffic near the BPSC Patna office and police charged them with batons.
“Despite repeated requests from security personnel, they refused to leave the road. This was a no-go zone and no protest was allowed. In the end, mild force, including baton charges, was used to disperse the protesters,” Senior Patna said, according to the Press Trust of India Superintendent of Police Rajeev Mishra said.
On the one hand, protesters claimed that two to three people were injured in baton charges, while police denied the accusations.
Some political leaders have also expressed support for candidates calling for the exams to be cancelled.

What happened on December 13th?

The board canceled the BPSC 70th CCE examination held at Bapu Pariksha Parisar in Patna on December 13, 2024, after the death of an official on duty and some candidates causing riots. Show-cause notices are in the center of chaos.
Recently, the board announced to re-conduct the BPSC 70th CCE examination for the candidates at Patna Examination Centre. According to the notice, the review will be held on January 4, 2025.
The official notice stated: “We are hereby notified that according to the decision of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, the retest date for the canceled examination of Bapu Examination Institute is determined to be January 4, 2025 (Sunday). Detailed information about the above reexamination plan will be announced by the committee soon. Announced on the website. Read the official notice (rough translation).
