13-year-old Indore boy lodged a complaint with the police against his Own Mother in her defense saying that she hit him for trying to check school updates on his cell on his face on Sunday
This school boy reported in a police station that his mother assaulted him with a sickle injuring his arms. This is the second such complain. A few weeks ago, a brother and sister from Indore went to the police to complain about their parents punishment for watching television and talking on the telephone being rather savage.
The latest incident occurred also outside of the city of Indore. The boy and his sister were living with their grandparents in a village of Simrol district and used to go on weekends to their mother’s place 5 kilometers away. Their father is said to have suffered paralysis while their mother worked all day without break.
The minor stated that about 11am on Sunday, he took his mother’s phone to see if there were any messages in the school group and then she started cursing and beating him up for “Touching her mobile”.
He said his sister, who was at the time cohabitating with their mother, came to her and struck him with a sickle. According to police reports, she too was punched by the two after his sister attempted to help out. The boy and his sister went back to their grandfather’s house to explain what happened and they took him to the police station.
On Sunday night a report was made and registered. “Following the minor’s complaint, it was alleged that the child was subjected to verbal abuse, malice aforethought was exercised, malice aforethought exercised in a dangerous way staff, kin, BNS section 296, 115 (2), 18 (1) and 351 (2), 3 (a) other. Mother was charged with grievous hurt against her child and she was booked for investigation.”
The eight-year-old boy gave the school the number of his mother who was called to the school regarding homework and holidays. He told the police that he does not get messages, and he therefore checked the phone.
As for the puny’s mother, she was questioned by the police where she mentioned that the child has been playing on his phone since the morning dew. Apparently, the boy’s statement was recorded and a medical examination was conducted upon him, the police recall.
Likewise in Indore, in October 2021 an eight year old boy along with his twenty one year old sister too gave a complaint to the police against their parents which led to them being accused of physically assaulting, beating and confining them.
In the case, the complainant’s parents were charged for offenses such as 323 Introducing Bail Amount Section 325, 294, 506 and 34 P.C. & Section 75 and 82 of Juvenile Justice Act. These cross sex siblings an adult in complete charge of his elders. These brothers and sisters after watching opening ceremony of the Olympics were using tv and mobile phone. The children have since the said occurrences been residing with their aunt.
