In India, headphone designs have undergone a major transformation in the past few years. These design changes are driven by technological advancements, consumer preferences, and market competition. Initially, headphones were simple wired devices with basic functionality. However, the advent of smartphones and the growing demand for high-quality audio experiences has triggered a wave of innovative designs.
Boat Recently launched Airdopes loopa pair of open wearable stereo (OWS) earbuds. Due to its unique design, this category is becoming increasingly popular as a sports accessory. It does not block the ear canal, allowing users to enjoy audio while remaining aware of their surroundings. This makes them particularly suitable for outdoor activities and sports where situational awareness is crucial.
Priced at Rs 1,999, Boat Airdopes Loop The OWS earbuds are available in lilac, cool gray, and pearl white. We’ve been using these headphones for a few weeks, and here’s what we think of them.
Boat Airdopes Loop Design
The Airdopes Loop headphones are securely mounted in a simple plastic case. They are a bit larger than most TWS cases on the market. The reason is the unique design of the earbuds. The lid itself has a smooth, gentle opening/closing mechanism, although it’s a bit wobbly.
The USB Type-C port is conveniently located on the back, and the case is soft to the touch. There are four LED indicators on the front to indicate the battery level.

Talking about the design of the earbuds, they have a clip-on design that fits snugly around the helix. The grip is neither too tight to hurt your ears nor too loose to cause you to fall during exercise. They come in a two-tone color scheme – each earbud has a U-shaped gray rubber stem and a silver metallic finish on the chamber. Their flexible construction allows them to fit comfortably on a variety of ear shapes.

Each earbud features multi-function touch controls such as tap to pause, long press to activate/deactivate the voice assistant (on the right earbud), and enable/deactivate private mode. The headphones have a solid feel both in appearance and feel.
Features and performance of marine Airdopes Loop
Boat Airdopes loop OWS The earbuds feature 12mm drivers and feature air conduction technology. They reproduce clean sound output, allowing users to hear filtered sounds from their surroundings.
Because the earplugs sit outside the ear canal, there is no pressure on the surrounding cartilage. This means we can wear them for extended periods of time without the discomfort or pain that sometimes comes with traditional in-ear headphones.
However, if you prioritize powerful bass, you may find that the Airdopes Loop is lacking. While they don’t offer the same powerful “thump” as in-ear models that seal the ear canal, they still reproduce bass frequencies adequately for a balanced listening experience.

For example, Shaman’s Dream’s Istanbul Dubphonics have powerful bass, but our ears didn’t experience the full “rumble” feeling, but rather a unique bass that didn’t sound flat.
Likewise, “Novicani” by Cafe De Anatolia and Rialians On Earth has soft, laid-back music that sounds impressive. The headphones also perform well in various music genres such as Bollywood, house, electronic and dubstep.
Sound leakage, while small, is noticeable in quiet environments. When listening to music at a higher volume, people sitting about 1.5 meters away can hear the audio. This means that the open-back headphone design minimizes sound leakage, but does not completely eliminate leakage at higher volumes. There’s also a gaming beast mode that reduces lag while gaming.
Overall, the Boat Airdopes Loop OWS headphones offer a commendable listening experience at an affordable price. While the audio reproduction may not be the absolute best, these earbuds offer impressive value considering the price, with features that are still relatively uncommon on the market.

The Boat Airdopes Loop OWS headphones offer a great listening experience without breaking the bank. While audiophiles may find sound quality lacking in some areas, the overall package is impressive for the price.
The call experience is also great thanks to the four microphones with ENx technology. While speaking, the other party did not complain about any distortion in the voice, but could hear mumbles in the background. The headphones feature Bluetooth v5.3 – easily connecting to our smartphones.
Marine Airdopes cycle battery
The Boat Airdopes Loop OWS headphones are said to offer up to 50 hours of playback time. We found the company’s claims to be pretty accurate.
