Kayan: After Kayan East Assembly seat, now a significant difference is observed in the Mahayudhi in Kayan West Assembly.
Here, two prominent figures from the BJP filed nomination papers as independent candidates against the Shiv Sena incumbent, Vishwanath Boyle. Among them are former BJP MLAs Modi and Varun Patil, president of Kalyan Municipality of the BJP.
Boyle’s troubles in the seat are expected to grow as two BJP leaders file nomination forms as independent candidates.
Shiv Sena candidate Vishwanath Bhoir on Tuesday filed his nomination form with the support of numerous supporters. Senior local BJP leaders were conspicuously absent during this period. Meanwhile, Sachin Basare also submitted a nomination on behalf of UBT.
Similar to Sigal, riots also broke out in Mahayutti of Dongala parliament seat.
Shiv Sena’s Mahesh Gaikwad, unhappy with the BJP conceding the seat to Sulabha Gaikwad, filed an independence form. Besides, former Shiv Sena corporator Vishal Pawshe joined Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and filed nomination from the party.
It may be recalled that BJP candidate Narendra Pawar won this seat in 2014, but in 2019, the BJP gave this seat to the Shiv Sena ) in exchange for another seat in the state, which was won by Shiv Sena’s Vishwanath Bhoir.
Local BJP leaders such as Pawar and Patil all hope that this seat will return to the hands of the BJP, and they have made great efforts to this end.
However, when the seat allotment came back to the Shiv Sena, the two distraught BJP leaders filled up the nomination forms.
In this seat, besides Shiv Sena, Ulhas Bhoir from MNS is in the fray. Now, with the arrival of these two PPP candidates, Boyle’s electoral difficulty may increase.
