Lucknow: In a swift breakthrough, Lucknow police arrested three suspects in connection with a daring bank robbery. indian overseas bank In Chinhat. The accused, members of a gang from Bihar, broke through a two-and-a-half-foot wall to enter 30 lockers and robbed jewelery worth crores of rupees.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East Zone) Shashank Singh revealed that the suspect was caught during a routine check near Lorai village. One of them, Arvind Kumar, fired at the police but was injured in retaliatory firing. Two of his associates, Balram Bind and Kailash Kumar, surrendered without resistance.
The thieves were inside the bank for two hours earlier on Sunday and were caught on CCTV using power knives. Interestingly, they did not use the cash of Rs 12 lakh. The crime came to light when nearby shopkeepers noticed cracks in the wall.
