Bhopal: A man set fire to his house after a heated argument with his wife in Anand Nagar in Bahodarpur police station area of Madhya Pradesh and then casually walked outside where the fire destroyed their belongings .
The man, Shriram Kushwaha, often had disputes with his wife Rajni Kushwaha over personal issues.
On the day of the incident, the quarrel escalated and Shriram, in a fit of rage, dragged the household items outside, poured kerosene on them and set them on fire.
Instead of trying to control the situation, Shriram walked calmly around the house, seemingly indifferent to the destruction.
As the fire engulfed the house, neighbors noticed the flames and alerted the fire brigade and police. Most of the household items were reduced to ashes as firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The initial hypothesis of a short circuit was dismissed when police discovered that Shri Ram had deliberately set the fire during an argument.
The couple were taken to the police station for psychological counseling.
Sources revealed that after being condemned for their actions, the couple expressed remorse and promised to avoid such extreme behavior in the future.
