According to locals, Pink Patrol arrived at the premises of Sri Guru Vidya Mandir School under Pradhan Nagar PS in Jampathari on Thursday evening. Some minors were found there. Roy got out of the vehicle, accosted the minors and reportedly assaulted them.
Residents said the minors were injured, and one of them had obvious cuts on his neck. The minors asked the officer for permission to call their parents, but Roy allegedly refused to listen.

Roy later told her superiors that she did it to smell for alcohol. The officer also claimed she was not drunk. The mother of one victim said: “If these teenagers were talking, the police should have called their parents. Batting is illegal.”

Siliguri Police Commissioner C Sudhakar issued a separate directive to all officials, stressing the importance of behaving appropriately and respectfully in public.
