Recently, the 50th Exhibition of Play Chanakya was staged in Marathi epic version. Ashutosh Gowariker, a filmmaker among many marathi lovers also gave special performances.
He shared his admiration on social media after seeing the show and he was impressed by it. He posted several photos backstage with the cast and crew along with heartfelt message.
However, he singled out Shailesh Datar for his powerful rendition of Chanakya. He praised the entire cast in the post, highlighting the actors’ stellar performances Denyanesh Wadekar and Chaitanya. Furthermore, Gowariker stated that their collective efforts are indeed deserving praise.
Furthermore, he lauded set design as well as costume design as well as lighting and music saying each component successfully took him back to period of history depicted in play. Another guest who went to see gowarik was Rohini Khatangadi. Originally written in Gujarati language they were later translated into Hindi followed by Mihir Buta’s final version in Marathi.
