New Delhi: A fresh plea was filed in the Supreme Court today by Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister to renew his temporary bail. The health condition of a person must be informed one week earlier.

“Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking extension of interim bail by seven days. He lost 7 kilograms right after being taken into custody and hasn’t put back those kilos. His ketone levels were quite high during monitoring. Doctors think that he needs to do further tests on him; hence, this application is lodged,” stated Atishi, a Delhi minister and leader of AAP.
In March this year, the Delhi chief minister was arrested in a money laundering case related to the repeated liquor consumption policy by the AAP government. Manish Sisodia, who was formerly deputy chief minister of Delhi and has been associated closely with Kejriwal, was also imprisoned for it.
On May 10th, however, he obtained conditional release from prison so as to participate actively in party campaigns at the end period of general elections.
Kejriwal had been granted provisional release and told to go into Tihar jail by June 2nd after voting had been done in the final stage of ongoing general elections yesterday.
However, when speaking recently with journalists, Kejriwal suggested that if Indian grouping takes over on June 5th he would be let out from detention cell ultimately.
“Right now there is enormous pressure on judiciary.. We all know how much pressure they are under,” commented Kejriwal.
The Chief Minister of New Delhi referred to his case as “fraudulent” arguing that financial links have not yet been established between him and the central investigating agency (ED).
