New Delhi: AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched round-the-clock water supply at Pandav Nagar DDA apartment in Rajinder Nagar area ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections.
“When we came to power in Delhi 10 years ago, around 50-60% of water was supplied by tankers. There used to be a tanker mafia. I am happy to say that today, 10 years later, 97% of water in Delhi is supplied Round supply.
Today, round-the-clock clean water supply has started in Rajinder Nagar and we will expand it to the entire Delhi in the future,” he added.
Kejriwal drinks water to prove purity
Kejriwal also drank water directly from the tap to show that the water was clean.
The AAP president was accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and local MP Durgesh Pathak.
AAP has fielded Pathak from Rajinder Nagar constituency to contest the Delhi Assembly elections scheduled to be held in February next year.
