PRAYAGRAJ: As the official start date of Maha Kumbh approaches, the remaining 10 akaras (13 in total) have started arriving at the ‘Chhavani’ (camp) in sector 20 of the mela. Wednesday, Shri Shambu Panch Atal Akhara took out its Chavani Pravesh Yatra (Also known as Peshwai) from Daraganj.
A current of devotion and spirituality flowed as several Prophets Mahamandaleshwars and Acharya Mahamandaleshwar as well as Naga Sadhus participated in the procession flows along the entire route.

The remaining nine akaras will soon reach the Mela region. Mahanirvani akhara will eliminate Chhavani Pravesh on January 2, Niranjani on January 5, and three Panch Ani akhara (Nirmohi, Digambar and Nirvani) will enter the mela zone on January 5.
The Atta Akala procession on Wednesday began with the sounds of Vedic mantras, conch shells and damruth beats, while DJs and bands played popular Hindi bhajans.

A large number of locals flocked to watch the seers traveling to the Mela region in a convoy of Naga sadhus, some on foot, some on horseback, while the senior seer sat on a throne on a tractor. The procession started from the Akala local headquarters in Allopi Bagh.
