American airlines have been given the go-ahead to resume operations by Washington. These questions are concerning major global issues of loss of power on a computer system.
Earlier today multiple carriers including American Airlines were affected due to a supplier technical issue. ”By 5:00 am ET (0900 GMT), we had been able to safely establish our operations again,” the company posted on its social media page via PlatformX.
The world’s computer systems went into chaos after a major IT outage that grounded flights all over the globe, in Europe and the U.S. and caused TV blackouts in Britain as well as affecting Australia’s telecommunication capabilities.
This is according to FAA which said that US carrier delta and United Airlines All flights were grounded early Friday due to communication issues.
“FAA is closely monitoring technical issues affecting American Airlines’ IT systems,” said the FAA later on.
According to the company, several U.S. airways “asked us to help them ground their planes till they fix this issue.”
