A photo circulating on the Internet shows Kapadia delivering an acceptance speech on stage. This win is especially noteworthy given the obstacles All We Imagine As Light faced. Despite critical acclaim, the film was snubbed golden globe award. It lost best foreign film to “Emilia Perez,” while Kapadia missed out on best director, which went to Brady Corbet’s “The Beast.” Pick it.
Kapadia also represented India at the Oscars with her films, but Kiran Rao’s Ms. Rapata was ultimately chosen as the country’s official entry. However, the film failed to make the Oscar shortlist announced last month.
