The dog in the northeastern Oregon helps its owner to be saved after a car accident in the mountains. Brandon Garrett takes his four dogs on a trip to secluded America Forest Service Road On June 2, his vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a ravine, according to a news release posted on Facebook by the Baker County Sheriff’s Office.
One of these dogs named Blue was able to travel nearly 4 miles back to people who lived at the camp site and that alerted them something was not right.
“Blue’s presence prompted family and friends of Brandon Garrett to search for him on the night of June 2 and the next morning,” said Baker County Sheriff’s Office.
The family found Brandon’s car the next day but could not reach it because of very difficult terrain and they immediately called 911 for help.
Upon arrival, authorities heard calls for help from man and found him about 100 yards away from wrecked vehicle. Despite being injured, he managed to crawl out of car after an accident.
To find trapped individuals, U.S. Forest Service personnel used chainsaws to clear a path through dense vegetation. Rope system search and rescue The team built one that spanned across the breadth of canyon.
When police officers arrived at this location there, they put him on a rescue stretcher with ropes tied around his body. Then these ropes were turned into pulley system helping transportation across canyon safely which had flowing stream underneath them.
Completing this rope operation was shared with photos by Sheriff’s office. Afterward, this person was taken by air ambulance to an area hospital where he received medical care while his three remaining dogs were found at crash site alive.
