Kerala’s Ramapuram district had a hospitalization of at least eight undergraduate students. Shankar was informed by the police that they were in stable condition.
On Friday night, a tanker truck spilled hydrochloric acid causing anxiety and difficulty in breathing amongst students. From Karnataka, the truck was headed to Ernakulam.
According to PTI, the students were taken to Pariyaram Medical College and Pazhayangadi taluk hospital.
The fire brigade moved the vehicle to safety soon after discovering that there was a leak from a valve at the back of the container.
Although Payyannur fire brigade and Pariyayam police quickly acted on it however authorities report that they could not control it completely.
