Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan in Movie ‘Maharaj.” The Hindu Vishwa Parishad is having a legal problem as it has filed a petition in the High Court. A group of Pushtimagias went high court and filed a request to stop showing the film. They said it would hurt the religious sentiments of the sect. The case was heard in the Gujarat High Court over the past few days, and the high court issued a stay order on the film, which was scheduled to be released on June 14. However, the latest news is that the court has approved the film.
The final hearing took place this afternoon, after a judge from Gujarat High Court watched it on Thursday evening. The court stated that there was no inappropriate content in the movie since it does not affect any individual’s feelings about his/her religion and would not affect Vaishnava people’s feelings towards their religion. Especially after reading books related to this one or more than one hundred years old written by these authors at various times. According to him, even after writing that book, Vaishnavas did not have change of mind religiously neither increased nor diminished them. The same still goes for now hence no effect will occur on this sect.
However, now permission has been granted by a court for releasing this movie. Therefore soon Yash Raj Films together with Netflix can begin streaming it.
“Maharaj” is directed by Sidharth Malhotra and stars Sharvari Wagh, Shalini Pandey among others but without Jaideep Ahlawat but instead he plays Junaid Khan.
