'A city of rape, drugs, gangsters': Arvind Kejriwal writes to Amit Shah on 'deteriorating' law and order in Delhi

New Delhi: Former Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal A scathing attack on the federal home minister was launched on Saturday. Kejriwal’s letter follows a series of incidents, including a bomb threat at a Delhi school this week, which he said had shaken public confidence. The Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi government and police to prepare a comprehensive action plan for handling such emergencies within a period of eight weeks.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) also took to social media to accuse Shah of failing in his duties. In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the party shared a photo of Shah with the caption “Mogambo is happy to see Delhi bleeding,” referring to the film Mr India “The villain in “.
Kejriwal had earlier expressed similar views, saying: “Another morning of heartbreaking news. Bullets are being fired openly and criminals no longer fear the law.”
AAP MP Sanjay Singh has called for a parliamentary discussion on security in Delhi, raising concerns about a series of incidents including bomb threats and violent crime. As the assembly elections approach, both the AAP and the BJP are engaged in a fierce campaign battle, accusing each other of ignoring Delhi’s needs.
