Tesla CEO Musk, has recently posted an Instagram throwback photo from his past as he celebrated his 53rd birthday on Friday. This picture was taken 30 years ago and showed a young Musk with an American flag behind him at the ocean.

The image, which was uploaded just some few hours ago, has been viewed over 6.1 million times and received comments of people wishing Tesla CEO a happy birthday.

Musk’s mother also shared a throwback photo in the morning to mark the occasion of his 53rd birthday. Maye Musk wished her son a happy birthday on social media together with an old photograph and heartfelt message.

“Happy Birthday @elonmusk we had wonderful fun for all those 53 years ever since that day when you turned four years old,” Meyer Musk wrote.

Born in Pretoria South Africa on June 28th, 1971, Musk showed business acumen at an early stage. Together with his brother, He sold homemade chocolate Easter eggs door-to-door and created his first computer game when he was 12 years old.

Musk has candidly spoken about some of the problems he faced as a youngster like my parents’ breakup; I was bullied in school plus I had difficulty reading social cues due to Asperger’s syndrome.

He left South Africa as soon as the opportunity presented itself so that he could get higher learning and went to Canada before finally settling in America where he attended prestigious University of Pennsylvania for Economics and Physics classes.

During his accomplished career, Musk established six companies such as popular electric car maker Tesla, Pioneer Rocket Company Space Exploration Technologies Corporationand innovative tunnel boring company The Boring Company.

SpaceX, which was founded by Musk in 2002 has grown tremendously such that its market value rose to almost $180 billion after December 2023 tender offer up to $750 million. Its value has increased fivefold over last four years only

In a celebrated purchase, Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion in 2022 before he wanted to exit that deal. He now owns about 74% of the business which has since been renamed X.
