This year’s standout contender is Jacques Audiard’s genre-defying drug musical “emilia perez“, which received 10 nominations for comedy or musical, an unprecedented lead in nominations. It received nominations in multiple categories, including acting nods for Karla Sofia Gascon, Zooey Saldanaand Selena Gomez.
