The incident happened Monday at a bus stop outside campus.
The victim kept silent about it to her parents for fear of being attacked by the gang in future. Boy’s parents watched the video on social media where he was being assaulted and made a complaint to Police Hostug.
While watching the video, students were hitting him hard on his face.
The police stated that past enmity arising from a football match resulted into this attack. Out of the total 15 members only five students have been recognized.
Sections 189 (2) (unlawful assembly), 191 (2) (riot), and 126 (2) (undue restriction) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita were used as grounds for registering this case by the police.
