Yuvraj Singh, who has represented India as an all-rounder cricketer, recalled an interesting episode of the Border-Gavaskar Test Series held during 2007-08 which would be present quite unusual facts that revolve around the Monkeygate controversy.
In Yuvraj Singh’s conversation on the Club Prairie Fire podcast, he did not forget to mention that he was in a relationship with a model who had gone to Australia for work at that time. “I was dating an actress, I won’t take her name. (She is) very good at the moment, and also very experienced. She was shooting in Adelaide,” said Yuvraj.
This caused a rift between the couple since it was an important series and Yuvraj was unable to meet her in person. For two Tests, I scored hardly anything. And I was saying, ‘What are you doing here?’ and she replied, ‘I want to be with you.’ Yuvraj remembered.
The twist came during Yuvraj when he pathetically mentioned that she zipped up his bag with all her pink chappals except one half those color slippers.
The previous situation is a first hand recollection of an elderly man recalling, “Then I ask, ‘where are my shoes.’ She said, ‘I packed them.’ I ask, ‘How would I go on the bus?’ And she said, ‘Wear Maths’” thus moving forward by reconstructing the order of the elements to the future tense reported speech.
When Yuvraj had to put on the pink slippers, his mates cheered him on even as he concealed the shoes in embarrassment.
“Until I was able to purchase flip flops in the airport, I had pink flipflops on.’ Yuvraj shared this last part, and all eyed him with amusement.
