The Indian cricket team captain, Rohit Sharma, who had a unique walk to get the T20 World Cup Trophy that became something of a talking point was also noticed by no other than the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
Therefore, PM Modi decided to have a chat with the Indian cricketers and he won over them at last because they recently took home the T20 World Cup in America and West Indies.
These were some of the issues discussed during their discussion about their team experience as well as what it entailed for them through the ICC mega event.
Inquiring from prime minister Modi Rohit playfully asked why he danced when going to pick up his trophy?
“Modi asked, “Every Indian must have seen this but I did not know that you may go to these two extremes on your moods. This time we all could see emotions and how you shook your leg while coming towards me after taking the trophy?”
“No Sir, this is one day that I have waited for long so my teammates told me that when I go to take our cup don’t just do a mere walk or dance along,” replied Rohit.
The PM then said probably Chahal thought of this funny idea. And Rohit said both Chahal and Kuldeep had done it.
He also spoke about tasting soil from the pitch after winning.
“I wanted to taste that soil as we played there on being victorious because that is where we won the cup back from. We all waited for this moment too long and underwent much harsh training in order to win world cup finally in India.”
We almost won last year’s world cup but could not make it past those finals. However, finally after all hard work by every member of our team especially; we’ve done it again thus securing victory. That ground means something because we played there thus since I wanted to do something special while I got opportunity,” he declared confidently.
