According to The Parami News, India’s winning squad at the T20 World Cup led by captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid will receive a total of 125 crore rupees as prize money. Out of this very rich purse, Rs 5 crore each will go to the 15 players including Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson who never saw any action on the field.
Dravid, who coached in his last match with India at the T20 World Cup, will also get his share of Rs 5 crores from that amount. On their side, batting coach Rathour, fielding coach Dilip and bowling coach Mhambrey will each earn Rs 2.5 crore according to the same report.
A sum of 2 crores per person would reward various backroom staff members including three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two masseurs and strength and conditioning trainer Soham Desai.
The report indicates that reserve players for T20 World Cup – Rinku Singh, Shubman Gill and Avesh Khan-Khaleel Ahmed along with five BCCI senior selection committee members under chairman Ajit Agarkar are expected to receive Rs 1 crore each.

- 16 x ₹5 cr = ₹80 cr (Rs 5 crore each- 15 players plus head coach Rahul Dravid)
- 3 x ₹2.5 cr= ₹7.5cr (Rs 2.5 crore each- Batting Fielding Bowling Coaches)
- 9 x ₹2cr= ₹18 crore (Rs 2 crore each- Physiotherapists Throwdown Specialists Masseurs S & C Coach)
- 9 x ₹1cr= ₹9 crore (Rs 1 Crore Each- Selectors Reserve Players)
According to the same report, it has been alleged that rewards will also be given to the video analyst and other BCCI staff at the World Cup.
India clinched the T20 World Cup 2024 unbeaten by defeating South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling final at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29.
