Maybe cricket is just at its teenage years in America but the team has shown that they can give a tough fight to experienced international sides.
USA player Steven Taylor left everyone stunned with his magnificent piece of fielding during the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan in Dallas on Thursday.
USA bowler Saurabh Netravalkar delivered an excellent delivery on good length which was moving away late from Mohammad Rizwan who did not expect it and stood stationary inside the crease as he offered a simple chance which took his bat’s outer edge.
Though the deflection looked like it was losing ground as it approached the only slip fielder, Taylor would dive towards his right displaying athleticism and reflexes like no other before successfully taking theirtremendous catch by making one hand effort of scooping up while still inside air before hitting the ground.
Meantime, USA had won the toss and decided to bowl first against Pakistan in their Group A contest at T20 World Cup.
At this same venue where this event is being co-hosted with West Indies, USA opened with win over Canada by seven wickets in competition’s first match,
In that game Aaron Jones smashed ten sixes hitting an unbeaten 94 off 40 balls to help US achieve their target of 195 with fourteen deliveries remaining.
