Due to bad weather conditions, play for the second day of the second test of the series between India and Bangladesh at Green Park Stadium Kanpur could not commence on time.

The hosts went into this test match leading the two match series by one nil as they had won the first test in Chennai by seven wickets They lead the chase by holding the top position of the World Test Championship points table due to successful previous campaigns . After the series against Bangladesh, the New Zealand team will be visiting India for three tests.
