With the ninth edition of Men’s T20 World Cup starting in less than 24 hours, Misbah game that has taken most of the attention during this final countdown to the global cricket jamboree is India versus Pakistan on June 9th at New York.

The game between India and Pakistan will be one of the biggest ever advertisements for cricket in a country dominated by baseball and basketball like America which welcomes a big-ticket cricket tournament for the first time.

In an effort to build up to the start of the tournament, Star Sports, event’s official broadcaster had Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan as well as Misbah-ul-Haq, who are all former world cup winners share their thoughts concerning the entire tournament and mouth-watering match between India and Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium.

Misbah Ulhaq who was captain when his team lost to Bharath in T20WC finals (2007) said that “Sabse badi rukawat toh Virat Kohli honge”.

India will take on Pakistan in group A which also consists of hosts USA, Canada and Ireland. However, while India will play Ireland on June 5, Pakistan is scheduled to take on USA on June 6.

USA will co-host with Caribbean islands from June 2 to 29.

Both India and Pakistan have won it once each; India in 2007and Pakistan in 2009.

This is what Misbah further said about this point: “In Pakistan-India matches, it depends a lot on who has conquered this fort earlier, who has confidence behind him because he knows how he has pulled off those games before because then these players know where the pressure can get them stuck.” In that , sabse badi rukawat to Virat Kohli honge,” Misbah further said on the show.

“He (Kohli) is a person who takes the game away from you many times in difficult situations, even in the previous world cup. Players like this are always dangerous. You must be conscious of that first before anything else. Paksitan will now that.”

Misbah also named the bowler he think will leave the biggest imapct in this edition of T20 World Cup.

Bumrah is a bowler who has played international cricket for some time and his style of bowling really excites me as well. He is my choice,” added Misbah while commenting on Bumrah as a bowler.

“He’s not only useful when it comes to playing with new ball or old ball but also he can have a major say on how things go for India…. initial punch toh wohi maar sakte hain Pakistan ko (Bumrah can deliver opening punch).”
