Shikhar Dhawan from Punjab Kings There may not be a memorable IPL season in the ongoing T20 league but trust players like the left-arm pacer Ardeep Singh They have grown into adult players after playing for India and delivering impressive performances for the national team.
However, Ashdeep didn’t start off on a good note but he made correction to it and now has 15 wickets in 11 games at an average of 26.53 with best figures of 4/29.
Still, But this Punjab Pacer has cemented his place in India’s white ball squad showing that BCCI selectors still believe in him as they chose him among Indian final fifteen man squads for ICC t-20 world cup.
Speaking during Star Sports’ Captain’s Talk ahead of Thursday’s Punjab vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match at HPCA Stadium Dharamsala, Shikhar Dhawan called him an amazing person. These were words by Ashdeep
“But he has very high self-confidence and always confident. He hasn’t been playing well recently but the character which he showed when he came back after that was fantastic. (Ranji Trophy) I went through grind even” Ashdeep said.
“Very, very sure about this guy that he is in great nick and will rock. If you see what has happened then he has experienced so much now that he has played for India so the confidence is different” added Dhawan
Ashdeep Singh has featured in 44 T20Is and six ODIs taking 62 wickets & ten respectively.
With only four wins out of eleven matches, Punjab are unlikely to qualify for playoffs; however post IPL, Ashdeep would be focusing on the big stage of the T-20 world cup.
While The IPL ends on May-26th ,the T20 World Cup co-hosted by the United States and West Indies will be held from June 2nd to 29th.
