Yusuf and Irfan Pathan, who are from India, have always been fond of each other both on and off the field.
Once Yusuf was dismissed in an IPL game by his brother Irfan’s skyer catch against him while playing for the opposing side. And yet, even after taking it, Irfan did not jump or shout or anything.
But human feelings tend to find their way out in nervous situations like this especially when it comes to cricket matches.
A video has emerged showing a heated discussion between Irfan and Yusuf Pathan during World Championship of Legends 2024 match between India Champions and South Africa Champions at the County Ground in Northampton on Wednesday after run out of Irfan.
India Champions were 18th over into their chase when Irfan struck Dale Steyn’s delivery towards deep covers. The brothers took one but Irfan yearned for more than one run hence wanted a second run as well.
However, as Yusuf watched the ball fly through the air with his hand raised to ask his sibling stay put; Irfan had already begun running halfway towards the crease. Unfortunately, Steyn threw towards stumps from deep fine leg and ran out his younger brother who could do nothing but turn back.
Irritated Irfan shouted at his brother probably blaming him that he was watching the ball too and so did Yusuf scream back in frustration too.
Despite losing by fifty four runs to South Africa Champions, India Champions went through to semi-final due to better net run rate than theirs.
