Rahul Dravid, India’s head coach on the last day, set a final target for star bats-person Virat Kohli after T20 World Cup triumph. The Indian cricket coach wanted Kohli to win the ICC World Test Championship referring to his incredible collection of global limited-overs trophies in a short video posted by ICC on Instagram.
“All three white ticked off, one red to go. Tick it,” said Dravid to Kohli with regard to Kohli’s wins in T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and Champions Trophy. As he went on repeating warmly “Go tick it.”
Dravid ended his 2021 appointment as India’s Coach on a high note. In their finals against South Africa, India clinched their second T20 World cup title with seven runs margin having won their first one in 2007 under Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
India has won ODI world cups twice i.e., in 1983 and 2011 as well as Champions trophy titles twice, i.e., in 2002 and 2013.
The celebratory video also featured Suryakumar Yadav who took an amazing catch that dismissed David Miller at the end of the match. Yadav expressed overwhelmed feelings saying “No feelings right now, I don’t know what to say.”
Arshdeep Singh flaunted some polaroid pictures taken before and after the final which showed his believe for team’s success.“This is what belief can do,” he said.
With India celebrating this significant achievement, attention turns towards future goals in the light of its cricketing legends’ heritage.
