Navjot Singh Sidhu, the ex-cricket player described this as a match that would be of great importance towards T20 World Cup 2024 between India and Pakistan. They will be entering the game after winning against Ireland by eight wickets while Pakistan who are led by Babar Azam lost in their last meeting against America through a super-over in the tournament.

Sidhu said that there is so much expected and it is hard to explain when these two teams meet. He has also observed that sometimes players who had not performed well in other matches win popularity by defeating Pakistan.

“If you are not beating Pakistan then you are nobody from somebody even if you have played all your seven previous games,” noted Navjot Singh Sidhu. “The weight of expectation is the most important thing here,” he added.

This match represents one of those particularly significant ones whose rivalry is intense and expectations high according to Sidhu’s sentiments.

India seems slightly better positioned than Pakistan owing to various factors including poor performances by the latter side-win, loss against US and defeat at England which was a warm up match.

“India will have an advantage because they have underperformed before now. They lost against England, in the warm-up match and also against US. On the other hand, India is in the ascendancy all her batsmen are in form. This shows they do not know how New York conditions work for them since there batting line-up isn’t working,” he said.

However, as unpredictable as cricket can be, Navjot Singh Sidhu admitted that despite all odds, on any given day Pakistan may prove otherwise with respect to India’s advantages.

“India will have an advantage. But on a given day, Pakistan can do anything,” he added.

There are several things that may contribute towards influencing the outcome of this forthcoming T20 world cup 2024 fixture between India and Pakistan. Some of them include significance of form, prior results and psychological aspects that surround the rivalry heightened by high-stake context.
