NEW DELHI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that on June 1, India’s T20 World Cup warm-up match against Bangladesh will take place in an unknown location within the United States.
India wants to win this tournament again after their first title in the inaugural edition was secured under Rohit Sharma. After it was awarded to West Indies and USA, which gained hosting rights in the year 2021, they are excited for the forthcoming competition.
The warm-up schedule for Men’s T20 World Cup from May 27 to June 1 is spread across various venues in the USA and Trinidad and Tobago. Among them are Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago as well as Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium situated at Texas.
There will be a total of seventeen teams with South Africa who are scheduled for intra-squad match on the 29th of June at Florida during these pre-tournament games to play against each other. These matches will not have international T20 status since they would all last twenty overs per side implying that all teams could use their full squad of fifteen players each.

Notably, fans would get a chance to watch the warm-up game between West Indies and Australia that would take place at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad & Tobago on May 30.
Tickets for these games can be bought from authorized ticketing website or designated box offices starting from May16. The US-Canada match on June1 marks the start of Men’s T20 World cup 2024 co-hosted by North American neighbours.
Between three grounds in United States of America (USA) and six other ones located around Caribbean islands like Barbados’ Kensington Oval or Brian Lara Cricket Academy played throughout the region. It is also USA’s first time as ICC tournament host.
The tournament will begin with the initial round having twenty teams divided into four groups of five each. The top two teams in each group will progress to the Super Eight stage where they will be split into two groups of four teams each. Only those teams that go through while maintaining their seeding from the initial stage will participate in the Super Eight.
In the semifinals, the top two sides from each group in the Super Eight are going to play at Guyana and Trinidad & Tobago on June 26 and June 27 respectively. The final would take place on 29th June at Barbados.
