India’s T20 World Cup winning Team is set to return home on Tuesday evening (local time) after achieving a great victory in Barbados, according to reports from sources which IANS called. Delhians are expecting them on Wednesday night.
Team’s flight was initially scheduled for Monday at 11 AM local time (8:30 PM IST), but it was interrupted by Hurricane Beryl which hit the Caribbean Islands last weekend. As a result of this hurricane, the airports and businesses have been closed down hence keeping Indian cricket team in Barbados for two days.
Hurricane Beryl has become an extremely dangerous Category 4 storm recently, which intensified the situation. The warning includes possibility of life-threatening winds and an expected dangerous storm surge.
According to its latest report issued today, Beryl developed into a category four hurricane yesterday Monday, then immediately grew strong enough into a category five as it moved across Windward Islands towards Jamaica.
This was on Monday when the tropical cyclone escalated to Category 4 with life-threatening winds and storm conditions that buffeted Barbados and the neighboring islands. However, with these challenges facing it, their safe return remains top priority.
Notwithstanding late arrival caused by hurricane adversities, India is prepared to receive its national cricket team since this achievement in winning T20 World Cup makes all Indians proud of their country.
The players had shown resilience and determination throughout their games while outside them they had exercised patience and adaptability during uncertain happenings; nevertheless India waits impatiently for them preparing itself for celebrating their remarkable achievement and receiving them warmly.
