Vogels reflected on the offence saying “I think we were all sort of awestruck right there. In comparison to SRH’s aggressive batting style during power play, Voges confessed that LSG had a poor showing in the powerplay Overs.
“Our power play was at two extremes compared to the Sunrisers. We were under tremendous pressure with the ball right from the start. We couldn’t apply the same pressure with bat in the beginning” said Voges.
LSG’s unbeaten partnership between Ayush Badoni and Nicolas Poorlan put together 99 runs gave them a glimmer of hope but their total of 165 according to Voges did not show it.
“I thought we had a very good late game. The partnership of Ayush Badoni and Nicolas Poorlan helped us and was probably still below par but at least gave us a fighting chance But it was obviously not enough ,” stated by Vogels.
As LSG have themselves sixth place on points table behind net run-rate after their sixth defeat in IPL 2024, they now face an uphill battle to regain momentum as they try to make it into playoffs amidst tough competition within this tournament.
