In Rawalpindi on Friday, continuouPakistan s rainfall completely eliminated any chance of play on the first day of Second and Last Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Due to the overnight rains, the toss was held up and even after more rains, the umpires called off any cricket activity for that day around noon.
The Pakistan Cricket Board announced, “There has been persistent rainfall plus a wet outfield which has resulted in no play on the first day.” Both teams remained in their hotels.
The hosts Pakistan look to level the series as they lost the first Test match in Rawalpindi on last Sunday to Bangladesh.
Pakistan inflicted a 10-wicket defeat on Bangladesh, who have not lost to Pakistan in 14 Tests.
The Pakistan management then rested pace bowling ace Shaheen Alasani Shah Afridi from the 12-man-strong squad since he just became a father.
Bangladesh only needs a victory in this series to not make it three summers since they last won an away series at their status of Test countries which was in West Indies (2009) and Zimbabwe (2021).
