On Monday, the Lok Sabha commemorated India’s triumph in the T20 World Cup 2024 by the Indian cricket team which praised their motivation and positive influence on young people and players in the country.
The speaker Om Birla congratulated skipper Rohit Sharma and his team for winning this game.
“The younger generation of India and sportspersons will be motivate by this victory,” says Birla, who applauded the team for achieving such a great result. India won their second T20 World Cup after 17 years, beating South Africa by seven runs in an exciting final match played on June 29. They had previously won the tournament back in 2007 under MS Dhoni’s captainship.
Subsequent to their win, Rohit Sharma retired from T20 Internationals. He posted an Instagram message expressing his joy and gratitude.
“This Picture is how I feel right now; so many words but none that can adequately capture what yesterday meant to me but I will find them and I’ll share them too but right now let me bask in a billion dream come true,” shared Sharma.
The felicitations from Lok Sabha are an expression of pride at national level for making history at the T20 World Cup by Indian cricket team.
