Left-arm pacer Mustafizul has left the CSK training camp for international matches.
CSK is currently ranked fifth in the points table.
So far this season, the team has played 10 games, achieved 5 wins and 5 losses, and accumulated 10 points.
CSK head coach Stephen Fleming also termed Mustafizul’s absence as “disappointing”.
With a low-scoring defense, Fleming was impressed with the commitment and performance of England pacer Richard Gleeson.
“Richard Gleeson has done well, which is positive. Losing Fizz (Mustafizur Rahman) is disappointing.
“Tushar (Deshpande) also had some flu. So, we had to make some changes, which were unusual. Again, that’s part of it and we have the resources,” he said.
“They just didn’t have enough time to adjust to their roles and we didn’t have enough time to adjust to the game plan and we struggled a little bit in that area.”
