India, the champions in the inaugural T20 World Cup, are currently ranked first in the men’s T20I team ratings ahead of the next edition of that contest to be staged by West Indies and USA from 1-29 June.
India have gathered 264 points for their efforts.
The West Indies two times winners, who placed fourth on the rankings with their players performing exceptionally well prior to the start of T20 extravaganza.
Having won editions held in 2012 and 2016, they are now leading against New Zealand and South Africa. India topped a list led by South Africa which has since been pushed down to seventh position after a recent triad series win over South Africa by India.
Australia is second with 257 points because they won in 2021 while England are third with 254 points as defending champions. The West Indies lie just three points behind at 252 points.
New Zealand sit on 250 points while Pakistan and South Africa both have accrued 244 points but Pakistan just edges out on decimal place calculations

In this astonishing rise Kyle Mayers climbed twelve places into thirty-first scoring one hundred and two runs while Gudakesh Motie rose eighty-four places into number twenty-seven having taken eight wickets during that series.
There were several notable movements amongst other players too during this week’s update which also incorporated results from final two matches between Bangladesh and USA as well as ongoing clashes between England and Pakistan: England captain Jos Buttler moved up to seventh, Jonny Bairstow rose to 36th, an increase of eight places and Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman did well to climb six places from fifty seventh to fifty first.
Shaheen Afridi has risen three positions into eleventh place in the bowling rankings while Imad Wasim of Pakistan went up fourteen spots reaching thirty-eighth position.
Steven Taylor United States observed large move forward as he moved up twenty-eight spaces to stand on number 109 runs for batting. On the other hand, Bangladesh’s Rishad Hussain who had been elevated by thirty-eight places came in at 52nd in the bowling rankings.
