The Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) President, Rakesh Tiwari is happy at the announcement of the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Union Budget regarding development of sports infrastructure in Bihar. It means a lot to him and to all the sportsmen and women of this state.
Tiwari expressed his deep thanks to Nirmala Sitharaman because he believes that it will be a turning point towards nurturing sporting talent in Bihar.
“I am greatly obliged for the significant investment announced in the Budget 2024 in terms of sports infrastructure by Honorable Finance Minister. This is a historic moment for the entire sports community of our state,” said Rakesh Tiwari, as quoted by IANS.
“The new developments not only gives us pride but also are vital for fostering developing talents from Bihar. The athletes will benefit from having an advanced infrastructure to help them train, compete and perform at national and international levels. This move definitely promotes a rich sporting culture within our region.” He added.
Union Budget 2024 unveiled several major initiatives for Bihar aimed at transforming it into a key driver of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
These include construction of new airports, medical colleges, and establishing sport facilities within the state.
Tiwari noted that these improvements were crucial especially to cricket players in Bihar arguing that these facilities would provide better training grounds, modern amenities as well as high quality infrastructures. “Specifically for cricket, these improvements are extremely vital. Our players will now have access to better training grounds, modern amenities and high-quality facilities essential for their growth and progress. This announcement aligns perfectly with our vision of raising Bihar cricket to newer heights where world class cricketers can come out.”
