The recent triumph of India in the T20 World Cup has ignited nationwide celebrations and their visit to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is just the cherry on top of their victory tour.

On Thursday morning, the team led by captain Rohit Sharma and accompanied by head coach Rahul Dravid made a stop at no.7 Lok Kalyan Marg (the official residence for the prime minister).

This was a grand event that showed how much this country loves its cricket heroes; it took about two hours for these sportsmen to speak with the PM about what they have experienced during this tournament and also give him all necessary details concerning their victory.

“What a great honor meeting our honorable prime minister shri narendra modi ji today @narendramodi. Thank you sir for inviting us to the prime ministers residence,” said Kohli on Instagram with gratitude.

Earlier in the day, despite tight security measures, Indira Gandhi International Airport saw several excited fans welcoming them as they arrived.

For this reason, two buses were left outside ‘T3 Terminal’ waiting to take them Tu ITC Maurya Sheraton hotel. Consequently, upon arrival Bhangra dances plus dhol performances which were very colorful added up to make it look more like a festival happening here.

Many players such as Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav and Rishabh Pant participated in dancing hence making it an unforgettable experience for everyone coupled with joy. Even security personnel who remained on duty throughout could not resist themselves from getting deep into celebration mood.

Afterwards, there was a cake cutting ceremony held at their arrival point where they shared their victory joy with people who had come from far areas. The Indian team then returned to Mumbai from New Delhi where they had gone to meet Prime Minister Modi before heading back home via air transport means. In Mumbai, there will be a parade following which they would also be felicitated at Wankhede Stadium, giving fans the opportunity to get close to them.
