The recent triumph of India in the T20 World Cup has ignited nationwide celebrations and their visit to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is just the cherry on top of their victory tour.
On Thursday morning, the team led by captain Rohit Sharma and accompanied by head coach Rahul Dravid made a stop at no.7 Lok Kalyan Marg (the official residence for the prime minister).
This was a grand event that showed how much this country loves its cricket heroes; it took about two hours for these sportsmen to speak with the PM about what they have experienced during this tournament and also give him all necessary details concerning their victory.

Earlier in the day, despite tight security measures, Indira Gandhi International Airport saw several excited fans welcoming them as they arrived.

The Indian team then returned to Mumbai from New Delhi where they had gone to meet Prime Minister Modi before heading back home via air transport means. In Mumbai, there will be a parade following which they would also be felicitated at Wankhede Stadium, giving fans the opportunity to get close to them.
