Suryakumar Yadav, the world’s best T20I batter, used his social media platform to make a joke at the expense of his young teammate India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal.
As Indian cricket team gears up for 2024 ICC T20 World Cup in New York, Suryakumar Yadav couldn’t help but comment on Yashasvi Jaiswal’s picture on Instagram.
The Indian cricket team arrived in two groups at New York getting ready to play T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in America and West Indies from 2nd June. The first group consisted of captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Rahul Dravid and pacer Jasprit Bumrah while the second batch included players like Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan and Jaiswal.

Jaiswal posted a picture of himself walking around the streets of New York. In this context, Suryakumar Yadav made a comment: “Sambhaal ke. Garden me ghoomega toh pata hai na.”
India has already started their world cup preparations in New York City. They are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan as well as co-hosts USA, Ireland and Canada.
On June 5th, India will kick off their campaign against Ireland at New York. Furthermore they have a warm-up game with Bangladesh on June 1st .
After India were eliminated by England-eventual winners-at the semi-final stage last time out; they will hope for better fortunes having failed to win any title since former skipper MS Dhoni steered them to glory during the competition’s maiden edition back in 2007 when it was held in South Africa.
