A sore knee kept troubling MS Dhoni throughout most of the previous Indian Premiere Leagues’ season where he was often seen wearing a brace on his knees as skipper of former Chennai Super Kings. Nonetheless, the iconic ex-captain from India appeared to be extremely healthy in a short video clip posted on social media. In this video, a forty-three-year-old man can be observed playing badminton and striking jump smash with rocket speed.
A person said that Mahi bhai is always fit, and another thought “one more IPL loading.”
However, everyone is guessing about Dhoni’s availability for the 2025 IPL season before the mega auction despite an apparent full recovery from knee surgery.
The BCCI reportedly mulled reintroducing the provision for the franchises to retain retired international players as uncapped players. This law was abolished in 2021.
Additionally, there were reports that CSK had approached BCCI so that they could keep their icon as an uncapped player. But CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan denied having asked about it.
“I don’t know anything about that. We have not requested it. They (BCCI) themselves told us it will likely be retained (uncapped player rule), nothing more than that,” Viswanathan explained further. “They haven’t announced anything yet; it will come from them only.” Regulations and rules are going to be provided by BCCI.” Viswanathan said.
In total, Dhoni left Test cricket in 2014 before retiring from ODIs and T20Is in 2020 but went on to continue playing IPL championships till now
