The England team will be without Zak Crawley in their forthcoming three-match Test series against Sri Lanka after the opener fractured his right little finger.
Their 14-member squad was announced by The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Sunday.
The first match of the series will be played at Old Trafford, starting on August 21.
The 26-year-old picked up the injury during England’s third Test victory over West Indies last month.
Also, seamer Dillon Pennington is unavailable due to a hamstring injury.
Jordan Cox has been included in the Test side for the first time. The young middle-order batsman aged 23 had earlier been part of white ball squad that toured Pakistan in 2022.
Olly Stone returns to the test squad for the first time since June 2021 as a fast bowler.
Ben Stokes has been named captain during this tournament against Sri Lanka.
