Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman, Azam Khan, was under fire on Thursday after his side slumped to a heavy seven-wicket defeat against England in the fourth and final T20I at The Oval.
Azam had already scored a duck off five balls and then let slip a couple of dollies behind the stumps with all this he came under criticism through social media for his poor performances with both bat and gloves.
The 25-year-old has been struggling with the bat as his scores have been pretty low lately, missing some chances in the field also meant that he was not good enough as well just like he did in Pakistan’s last T20I game before the World Cup which led to questions about his selection and place within the squad on social media.
Having won two games and lost one due to rain, Pakistan lost the T20 series 2-0.
England will now head into their defense of their title at the T20 World Cup having beaten Pakistan in this series.
At The Oval, England chased down their target of 157 all out by getting there 27 balls early largely thanks to Phil Salt’s 45 off 23 balls and captain Jos Buttler’s unbeaten 39 from just under that many others in an opening stand of 82 from only38 deliveries.
Jointly staged between America and Caribbean island countries, for example Barbados where England’s first opponents Scotland will meet them on Tuesday next week; while Pakistan play United States on June 6.
