Rahul Dravid Tenure as coach of the Indian cricket team As at June, this year, the India Control Board cricket (BCCI) will be advertising for a new coach.
The incubation period for a new coach will happen once the batting, bowling and fielding assistant coaches are confirmed according to Cricbuzz.
As per reports, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said: “Rahul’s tenure is only till June. So if he wants to apply, he is free to do so.”
It’s understood that the term of office for the new coach will be three years.
“Whether it would be an Indian or foreigner we are not sure about. It depends on the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) and we are a global body,” Shah added.
Like always, BCCI may have one coach for all formats with white ball formats and test cricket having different coaches.
Shah informed that “the CAC will decide… This has never happened in India”.
