New Delhi: Congress leaders Mani Shankar Aiyar He sparked controversy after saying the words on Friday Pakistan is a respected country and suggested that India should have a dialogue with them.

“Islamabad will use its atomic bomb for a longer time against us,” warned Mani Shankar Aiyar in an interview he gave to “Chill Pill” on April 15.

“They are also a sovereign country (Pakistan). They are a respected country. You can talk tough to them (Pakistan). But start a dialogue. You walk with a gun and get nothing. Tensions are escalating. If crazy Coming there, what happens to the country? We also have the atomic bomb, but if a madman detonates our bomb at Lahore station, within eight seconds, eight minutes, its radioactivity will reach Amritsar. ”, Aiyar said in the video that went viral on social media.

Aiyar further warned of the potential consequences of “madmen” detonating an atomic bomb and highlighted the fact that both India and Pakistan possess nuclear weapons.

“So you should prevent the use of atomic bombs. But if you start talking to them (Pakistan) and encourage them (by treating them as), then they should start thinking about their atomic bombs. But if you give them the cold shoulder, then a madman will come Detonate the bomb, what will happen? He added.

Aiyar also took a veiled jibe at the Center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that no efforts had been made to engage with Pakistan in the past decade. He stressed the importance of resolving bilateral issues with Pakistan for India to become a global leader.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party lashed out at Mani Shankar Aiyar’s remarks about Pakistan, stressing that “this is Prime Minister Modi’s India”.

“At this time Pakistan is collecting food grains for themselves. They are facing a food crisis… Mani Shankar Aiyar should be receiving treatment somewhere. This is not Congress’s India. Now, India is very powerful. This is what Ravi Kishan, a Bharatiya Janata Party MP and the party’s candidate for the Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seat, said: “Modi. “
