BCCI secretary Jay Shah has invited all the representatives of the state associations under it for a get-together at the board’s headquarters in Mumbai and to “exchange ideas to improve cricket in India” and watch the India versus Australia T20 World Cup match on June 24.
Shah has written to the state associations: “I am happy to invite you to come to Mumbai and have an opportunity for face-to-face interaction where we would meet, exchange ideas and enjoy together the world cup match between India vs Australia on June 24, 2024,”
“It’s been long since we’ve seen each other, talked about important things. I think that it’s necessary that we periodically gather together just for an informal discussion on the state of cricket as well as how best we can improve this game in our country. It is within these considerations that I would like to invite you for a night of idea swapping and deliberation at Mumbai while live streaming happening with one exciting match between India presently playing against Australia in continuing T20 World Cup.”
The BCCI wants its state unit office-bearers to see around its recently renovated Board HQ based out of Mumbai.
