Rohit Sharma, captain of the Indian cricket team, has made significant progress in the Twenty20 International (T20I) format both as a skipper and batter.

With the victory in T20 World Cup over Australia on Monday, he matched Pakistan captain Babar Azam’s record for most wins as a captain in this form.

Furthermore, Sharma now holds the record for the most runs scored in T20Is surpassing his compatriot Virat Kohli.

Sharma has captained India to 48 victories in T20I format which is also held by Babar Azam who equals that number as Pakistan team captain respectively.

More especially when India beat Australia by 24 runs recently; loss was his 60th match as a leader of men involving all types of victories including those won through super overs.

Rohit Sharma lately returned to form with an important performance where he showed some excellent skills. In 157 innings, he compiled 4165 runs at an average of 32.03 with a strike rate of 140.75.

By doing so, he became one of the leading batsmen in terms of runs during T20Is with second-placed Babar Azam at 4145 from his 123 games and third-placed Virat Kohli at 4103 from same number matches as Azam started trailing him closely behind

After winning this game against Australia, Rohit Sharma got accolades from Jay Shah who is BCCI Secretary and went on social media praising him for what he did and hoping that India will succeed in this tournament.

During this match against Australia, Sharma batted well making 92 off just41 balls. This helped them get up to challenging target score of205 because other teammates also contributed their part into it

Despite Travis Head’s performance being great, team India under Sharma’s leadership managed to win by 24 runs.

This victory not only emphasized Sharma’s leadership but also sealed the Indian team’s place in the semi-final against England slated for Thursday at Guyana.
