NEW DELHI: According to Reuters, a 6,800-year-old skeleton was discovered in the lower Bavaria region of Germany as an unusual discovery.
This skeleton has been referred to as the “Exinger” by locals and was found in Exing, which is part of Eichendorf town.
Florian Eibl, an archeologist said, ”It’s a typical body burial with numerous grave goods. The particularly interesting thing about it is that there is a lot of pottery… for this time period this amount is about four times greater than usually the case. There are also a few stone tools and a small bag containing boar’s tooth trimming.”
Chiara Girotto estimated that the man reached 1.70 meters high which made him unusually tall for the era; nevertheless, due to his dead state it is impossible to identify his true age.
According to experts, the man might have been middle aged since these grave goods indicate a particular status earned at that time which could not be passed on by inheritance.
